My Top Bucket List Focus and My Motivation Behind It

My top bucket list goal right now is to organize my life so I can increase my focus, productivity, free time and happiness.

The First Step I’ll Take To Make This Happen

Updating my bucket list right now with the due dates was my first step in making this happen.

My Action Plan Layout For My Top Bucket List Focus

I’m going to continue to follow the due dates and steps that I laid out for each task in my bucket list, and I’ll continue my bucket list as needs arise.

I already completed 5 of my Top Bucket List Focuses!

  1. Number 1 was writing for Curve Magazine. You can read about it here: Curve Mag.
  2. Number two was re-launching the Love Warrior Community, you can see it here: LWC.
  3. Number 3 was focusing on my Community Bucket List Contest, which finished successfully and developed into a Community Bucket list Mastermind Group. You can read about Community Bucket List here: CBL.
  4. Number 4 was to win the dot429 LGBTQ What Drives You Contest. I got 2nd place. I was behind by like 15 votes. Close. :) Cool side note, I went to a dot429 networking event in SF. A friend I made via a Curve Magazine interview, Sam Needham, won a ticket to the networking event and gave it to me. As I’m walking towards the door, I meet with this lady who was interviewed in Curve the previous year, we chat and exchange business cards. As I enter the venue, the woman at the door greets me by my name. She recognized me from the dot429 contest. :) Another side note, that dot429 networking event was A BLAST! :) I didn’t win first, but taking part in that contest created some great experiences. :)
  5. Number 5 was to go to London for the Stonewall Talent Programme.

‘Get more music in my life: festivals, concerts, live music’ >>>> Are you going to Outside Lands in San Francisco this year? :)

    • PassionLife says:

Hey Mona Jo. ;) I wasn’t planning on it this year, my money is low and is going towards classes and half marathon registration this month. But Birthday dancing to a dj counts, yeah? ;)

    • PassionLife says:

      P.S. I’m excited that you’re my first commenter. :)

      • MonaJo says:

me too. what an honor:) hey, how do i get my mug on my comments like yours? i don’t see anywhere to update profile…

I’m thinking DJ dancing doesn’t exactly cut it per the bucket list, but sounds awesome

        • You have a WordPress blog? And that’s what your commenting under? You should be able to go in your Dashboard, scroll to Users, then click on Your Profile, you can change your bio there, etc, but I just looked, and I didn’t see a place to upload an image. It might be the avatar image then, which should be under, Settings, General, but let me double check.

  2. Once in your Dashboard, scroll down to Settings, then click Discussion. You’ll see “Gravatar Hovercards”. To the right of it you’ll see an empty square or a generic image and next to it will say, “Put your mouse over your Gravatar to check out your profile. ” Click on that and create your account, then you’ll see “add new image” and that will be your gravatar, your image that will accompany your comments. :)

  3. WooHoo! That’s quite a list! It was a great way to get to know you better.

  4. @Annette, thanks! I keep on thinking about updating it, adding to it, but I don’t want it to be book length. I feel like I can keep on going. Maybe I’ll make bucket lists by categories. :) I’m excited to update it soon. I’ve been working on some of the things on there and it’s exciting to be able to check them off.

  5. Audra says:

Em, here is your birthday present! I have commented on your bucket list. And I joined your Choosing a Woman’s College FB event. And I might even start my own bucket list, maybe. So, your words of encouragement: Start training now for all your 5KS marathons and triathlons! You’re already a great runner! Keep it up! Also, if you don’t get the job at Curve, do you have a backup plan? Sounds great Love!!

    • I LOVE my birthday present! :) Thank you! :) And I love your words of encouragement. :) I have been legitimately training for about the past 2 weeks, and it’s going great! :) I just got back from a run and weight lift a little bit ago. I’m not going to sign up for any races on my birthday, but I am going to sign up for one in my hometown for mid September. :) It will either be a 5K or a half marathon. :) And I do have lots of back ups if I don’t get the Curve position. I planning on sending a follow up email today for Curve. None of my back ups are solidified, some are paid writing gigs that I’m also applying for. Other back ups are non-pad projects that I want to work on and would have the time to work on. :) There’s a lot I want to do, so if I get, I’ll be stoked, and If I don’t get, I’ll be happy to work on something else. :)

  6. Leah Oviedo says:

Congratulations Emelina! Your accomplishments inspire me to work harder on my own list. Thank you for sharing.

    • Thank you! I just updated my bucket list recently as a tool to help me get back on track with cultivating focus, positive energy and self-care so I can go after my bigger goals with sharper focus.
