My Top Bucket List Focus And My Motivation Behind It
Before the month of August is over, I am going to visit Manhattan. I need to take advantage of living so close to the city because who knows how long I will have this opportunity.
The First Step I’ll Take To Make This Happen
I will brave the dreadful drive into Manhattan.
My Action Plan Layout For My Top Bucket List Focus
By August 16th, I will pick a nice August day to pack up my dogs, drive into the city, and walk through Central Park, all day.

What day have you picked this month to go into New York?
Hi Elysia,
I support you in taking that carriage ride in Central Park! I went on a NY trip with my Mom when she was still alive, and we had a blast. The carriage ride was one of the high points! I’m imagining you now sitting in that carriage, hearing the clop clop of the horses hoofs, and seeing all of nature around you, smelling the fresh air!
Will you let me know what your actual experience is like after you’ve checked it off of your bucket list?

I had actually picked today (august 29th) to go into the city. However, my plans were put on hold with the arrival of hurricane Irene. So I am planning on going within the next 2 weeks!

Fall Bucket List Update:
I am realizing that there is just not enough time this fall to get to do everything on my ambitious bucket list!
Matt and I went apple picking in NY a few weeks ago and it was the perfect fall excursion! The drive was beautiful; it wasn’t my east coast road trip, but it definitely did the trick!
Last weekend a friend of mine flew in from Austin and we had a great weekend in NYC! We took the ferry into the city, walked around SOHO and the Village, experienced the Halloween parade in the Village, and finally, went clubbing in the meatpacking district!
I definitely want to experience more of NYC before this season is over, and I am planning to do a carriage ride through Central Park on my next trip!!
That’s Awesome! I saw your photos with your friend and I saw the Halloween pics and thought, “What an Awesome City trip!”. Especially for Halloween.
